Alex Cruden assists McConnell Communications with proofing, media training and copywriting. Cruden retired in March as chief editor of the copy desks for the Detroit Free Press, after working at the newspaper since 1973. A charter member of the American Copy Editors Society, Cruden has led more than 165 seminar sessions for copy editors and other journalists.
